David is a business and security professional with a background in law, and Defence security advisory, as well as program and project management. Working across security engagements at De Stefano & Co, David is proficient in advising senior executives – from SMEs through to multi-nationals – on uplifting Defence security within their organisations. David is a Member of the Australian Information Security Association (MAISA) and is currently enrolled in the DTC's Defence Industry Leadership Program (DILP).
Jeremy is an experienced cyber security professional and a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) specialist, able to assist with technical security assessments for classified environments, as well as cyber security strategy, implementation and training. Following a long career in the Australian Defence Force and the Commonwealth Government, including roles in international diplomacy, trade policy, border security and intelligence analysis, Jeremy has gone on to work with global software and cloud services providers, and most recently led the cyber security team at one of the Big 4.
Sean enlisted in the Australian Air Force in 1988, enjoying a 22-year career and earning a Conspicuous Service Medal in 2008. After leaving the Air Force in 2010, he joined the APS, contributing to the Joint Strike Fighter Project and later serving as Director of Security and Compliance for the Vice Chief of the Defence Force in Canberra. In 2021, Sean became the Security Operations Manager for Australian Naval Infrastructure, overseeing the security of the Osborne Naval Shipyard.
With 30 years of experience in IT and software development fields – 20 of which have been spent with Gallagher across various technical and leadership roles – Andrew thrives on enterprise-level problem solving, business strategy, and product road mapping. He is a strong advocate of Agile and Lean principles, particularly when applied to building cohesive and high impact teams, with aligned goals and individual empowerment. Andrew loves a challenge, whether through developing people and great teams, advancing his own business and technical skills, or running a marathon.
Steve Bell is Gallagher Security’s, Chief Technology Officer. Having been with Gallagher for more than 35 years, he has played an instrumental role in the creation of the Gallagher Security business and has been a driving force behind the development of the company’s security solutions suite.
Steve has been across every iteration of Gallagher Security’s technology ranging from the launch of Cardax FT through to entry into the Cloud with Gallagher Mobile Connect and he continues to play a pivotal role shaping the future of the organisation.
His visionary leadership, unparalleled technical and commercial expertise, and ability to navigate the ever-evolving security landscape have contributed significantly to Gallagher's continued success over the years.
Scott Ridder is a Value Stream Lead for integrated solutions with Gallagher Security. He has overall responsibility for integrated products and solutions with Command Centre, the APIs and programming interfaces used by Technology Partners and the program created for these partners to collaborate with Gallagher, offering an ecosystem of partners and solutions with Gallagher Security
Scott has been involved in product, engineering and technical support roles with Gallagher for more than 20 years. His experience and technical background, particularly while managing Gallagher’s technical support team, means Scott has a wealth of experience and deep understanding of the challenges customers, installers and technicians face on a regular basis.
In his experience as Senior Product Manager, Scott has worked closely with customers to design, specify, and create custom solutions to solve specific business problems, unique to their site, providing first hand insights into the problems that organisations prioritised solving.
Tyson Barnett is an identity management and credential technologies advocate; striving to deliver growth through the development of services and products that generate customer value. He is passionate about simplifying the authentication experience and the sustainability of credentials.
Tyson Barnett joined Gallagher Security in 2007 as a Technical Writer. Since then, he has held roles in Marketing and Business Analysis before moving into the role of Product Owner. He holds a special interest in cloud services, wallet, mobile and physical credentials, simplicity by design, everyday authentication, cross-platform identity management, and the articulation of customer value creation.
Tyson brings together people important to the product development process to ensure the team’s work is aligned to an understanding of why our solutions are needed, and how customers benefit from them, representing the customer to the development team to maximize the value of the products created.
With 23 years of experience in the electronic security industry, Mike has been with Gallagher since early 2008, initially as Technical Account Manager (Queensland, Northern Territory, and Papua New Guinea), and then as National Technical Manager for Australia. Mike’s current position sees him play a pivotal role in providing guidance, support, and coaching to the technical teams across the APAC and IMEA regions. He also liaises with Gallagher R&D for the development of customer-inspired solutions. A security industry leader, Mike’s expertise and knowledge are unparalleled and the value he adds to Channel Partners, customers, and Gallagher’s business is indispensable.
Danielle Mitchell is a team leader and educator with 8 years of experience in the Access Control and Security industry. Danielle has been managing the Gallagher Security Australian training team since 2021 and expanded her role in 2023 to Training Manager of Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa.
As a Training Manager, Danielle is known for driving innovative projects and delivering engaging presentations. She has a passion for challenging teams to think “outside of the box” towards the goal of continually improving the customer experience and providing unparalleled customer care.
Scott Johnstone is a highly experienced sales professional and leader with a career spanning over 30 years in the security industry. He currently serves as the National Sales Manager of Gallagher Security. Throughout his 18 year tenure at Gallagher, Scott has held various leadership positions including Sales Manager for ACT/QLD/NT/WA/Indonesia/Papua New Guinea and National Sales Manager.
Before joining Gallagher, Scott's career in the security industry began as an Installer and Lead Technician. He progressed through the ranks to hold the positions of National Service Manager, National Installation Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager. This wealth of experience has given Scott a comprehensive understanding of the security industry. With a Masters Degree in Business, Scott brings a solid foundation in business strategy and operations to his role as National Sales Manager at Gallagher Security.
With nearly 40 years of experience in the security industry, including almost 20 years with Gallagher, Dean brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise. His previous roles at Gallagher include Technical Account Manager and Senior Technical Account Manager. Before joining Gallagher in 2006, Dean spent 18 years as the National Technical Manager for Chubb Security.
In his current role, Dean focuses on several strategic areas. He actively engages with Channel Partners, End Users, and industry stakeholders to best understand the evolving needs of the industry and help shape Gallagher's development strategies. Additionally, Dean is dedicated to supporting and mentoring the Gallagher Security Australian team while collaborating with global counterparts.
Karl Harris is Gallagher Security’s National High Security and Key Accounts Manager – Australia. With more than 28 years’ experience in the security industry, he has spent the past 10 years with Gallagher.
Initially in the role of Sales Manager for South Australia and Northern Territories, Karl has worked on a number of significant projects in region ensuring the solutions and technology platforms being rolled out provided the best security and business efficiency outcomes.
As National High Security and Key Accounts Manager, Karl is responsible for critical liaison with a network of national High Security and Federal agencies, Defence Primes, and commercial stakeholders, ensuring the comprehensive protection of the nation's critical infrastructure, secure locations, and personnel.
Karl has a wealth of industry experience, having worked for organisations in New Zealand, South Korea, and Australia across multiple verticals.
